Pony Boy

A firstborn son can seem so big,
A help, a right-hand man.

Best remember heís a little boy
Doing what he can.

A little boy whoís on a farm
Learns to do his chores.

A model for the younger kids?
Donít be expecting more.

While little sisters and brothers look up,
He tries to help each one,
Boosting them up on the pony,
Helping others to have fun.

Showing them how to hit the ball,
Giving pushes on the swing,
Helping them see chores as fun,
A big order, donít you think?
So, itís clear, itís great to see
Some leisure time for him,
With that beloved pony
Galloping like the wind.
