Of a Soiled Postcard Or Raised Postal rates
Because of arbitrary ways
Of postal folk who serve these days,
For this small card, though soiled and worse,
They do not choose to reimburse.
Postage is paid, at least the former,
Would adding cents make my heart warmer?
Though some may think it’s in bad taste,
The postage paid I hate to waste.
I’ll add the cents, no postage due
And blithely send it off to you.
