Time Change
It値l be light a bit earlier mornings,
Dark by late afternoon.
We値l feel like buttoning up the day
As evening intrudes so soon.
Outside work will be done by the yard light,
And TV will seem extra nice.
Maybe we値l rise to the occasion
And take out Scrabble or Yahtzee with dice.
The lights of the city may beckon
More appealing in contrast to dark,
So dinners are accompanied by sparkle,
And street lights illumine the park.
Or we値l just settle in by the fire
While a log on the grate crisply burns,
Another sign of the changing of seasons
As standard time once more returns.
