Graduation
I first welcomed you at birth’s glad hour,
Long hours and months of waiting, through.
I looked into your precious little face,
Saying, “Oh, it’s you. It’s you.”
We’re Crossing to another part of life.
The years have passed, and I’ve practiced letting go;
I knew it was part of God’s plan.
I delighted to walk beside a little boy;
I bid safe journey to a man.
You’re crossing to another part of life
